Terms and Conditions

Trailer Warranty

The following information relates to warranties offered by Stonegate Industries. Please read all information carefully and should you have any questions relating to any aspect of this section, please contact Stonegate Industries. By purchasing a trailer from Stonegate Industries, you hereby agree to all terms and conditions of warranty as set out herein.

Warranty and Disclaimer

All Stonegate trailers are for road use only. Trailers sold by Stonegate Industries are covered by the manufacturers’ warranty for a period of 24 months. This warranty period is valid from the date of original purchase and covers all products against defective materials or workmanship.

Exclusions: jockey wheel, tyres, wheels, brake pads, add-on accessories & other wearable parts. Warranty does not cover a product damaged due to improper maintenance, misuse, abuse, accidents, external influences such as water or fire, or normal wear and tear. Stonegate Industries take no responsibility for any damage caused to property or persons through storage and use of products and equipment. Any unauthorised modification will void this warranty.

The warranty will not cover any freight or postage cost at both ends. Customers must inspect the condition of the trailers at the time of purchase and report to us within 14 days for any initial fault. Warranty claim generally takes a few business days.

Please retain your sales invoice as proof of purchase — it must be presented when making a warranty claim. Trailers must be returned to Stonegate Industries for warranty work to be carried out.

Tandem & Multi-Axle Trailer Warranty and Maintenance Disclaimer

  • Towing Level: Always tow your trailer level or slightly nose-down — it’s unsafe otherwise. Learn more about towing safety here.
  • Customer Responsibility: You’re responsible for ensuring the trailer is level and properly loaded. A level trailer tows, brakes, and steers better.
  • Tyre Care: Check and rotate tyres regularly — every 5,000 km or 12 months — to reduce uneven wear and keep performance safe and smooth.

Inspection and Maintenance

1. Upon receipt, please inspect the condition of the trailer. Tyres must be checked before use.

  • Nuts and bolts
  • Moving positions
  • Any bending, breakage or leakage
  • Safety chain – ensure chain is in good condition
  • Lights and wiring
  • Tyre pressure and condition
  • Any abnormal noise or vibrations

2. Wheel nuts must be re-torqued after the initial run-in period. We recommend rechecking wheel nut tension after the first week of use or within the first 500km of operation (whichever comes first). This should be carried out by a licensed tyre dealer, trailer dealer, or similar qualified agent.

3. Service your trailer via a licensed workshop every 12 months or 5,000km, whichever comes first.

Boat Trailers *2-Year Limited Warranty

Stonegate Industries warrants the boat trailer frame, including the coupling and rims (excluding tyres), to be free from structural or welding defects for two (2) years from the date of original purchase.

1-Year Limited Warranty

The following components are covered for one (1) year from the date of original purchase:

  • Hot-dipped galvanised surface finish
  • Lights, bearings, seals
  • Hydraulic braking equipment

Note: The winch, axles, and springs are not covered under this warranty.

Boat Trailer Setup & Maintenance Disclaimer

  • Trailer Setup: Ensure your trailer is properly adjusted to suit your boat. It is the owner’s responsibility to confirm correct setup and fitment.
  • Each Boat is Different: Every boat has unique design and weight characteristics; therefore, trailer setup requirements may vary.
  • Corrosion Protection: In addition to regular servicing, apply a corrosion protectant before launching to help prevent and control rust.
  • Galvanised Trailers: Galvanising provides corrosion resistance but does not eliminate it. Always wash your trailer thoroughly with fresh water after each use.

Not Covered Under Warranty

This warranty does not cover:

  • Cosmetic appearance and white rust (natural oxidation of galvanised surfaces)
  • Brake pads, brake cables, winch straps, bow rollers, rubber wheels
  • Galvanising on moving components such as springs, axles, and other moving parts
  • Damage caused by misuse, overloading, incorrect boat setup, roller or step misalignment, alterations, or modifications
  • Fair wear and tear, accidents, or off-road use
  • Negligence, accidental or consequential loss or damage (to the owner or a third party)
  • Failure to perform or provide proof of recommended maintenance services

Ute Tray Warranty

Stonegate Industries provides a 24-month warranty from the date of purchase (12-month warranty for purchases made before 1st October 2025).

Coverage

This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship only. It does not cover:

  • Damage from accidents, misuse, negligence, or improper installation;
  • Off-road hazards, impacts, stone chips, or surface wear, rough terrain;
  • Rust, scratches, weather damage, or other cosmetic deterioration over time;
  • Damage from natural disasters or severe weather;
  • Third-party components (covered by their respective suppliers);
  • Promotional or giveaway items;
  • Theft or attempted theft.

Warranty Conditions

Warranty is void if the product is modified, used improperly, or installed unsatisfactorily.
All claims must be made through the original place of purchase, with fault details and photo evidence.

Stonegate may repair or replace the product at its discretion. If a replacement is unavailable within 14 days, a refund may be issued.
Return freight and associated costs are the responsibility of the customer.

Returns

All returns require prior approval. Freight costs (including initial shipping) are non-refundable, and returns are subject to a 20% handling fee.
Products must be securely packaged; Stonegate is not liable for damage or loss during transit.
